Do you grow an almond called ‘Hall’s Hardy’?
Do you grow an almond called ‘All-In-One’?
Do you grow an almond called ‘Theta’?
Do you grow an almond called ‘Jefferson’?
This beautiful, 15-ft flowering almond tree can be grown wherever peaches thrive; it produces good yields of nuts thicker-shelled than commercial varieties. Cold-hardy and late to bloom, it is productive in regions unsuitable for most almonds.
All in One’, a self-fertile, 15-ft semi-dwarf tree, bears generous crops of sweet, high-quality almonds in a small space. Although almond trees are hardy in cold weather, their early blooms and immature nuts are susceptible to spring frosts.
‘Theta’ is part of the Greek alphabet series of blight-immune cultivars, developed for pollination. It bears small-to-medium-sized hazelnuts of fair quality. Its main function is to shed pollen and increase yields of ‘Jefferson’ and other producers.
This blight-immune cultivar, released by Oregon State University to replace susceptible ‘Barcelona’, produces heavy yields of large, tasty hazelnuts on upright shrubs. A second variety must be planted nearby for pollination.
‘Nonpareil’ is a very popular almond tree that has an upright to spreading habit and produces abundant crops when planted near a second variety, such as ‘All-In-One’, for pollination. The nuts are poorly sealed, making them susceptible to bird and insect damage.
