This excellent-quality variety produces large cobs that grow up to 8 in (20 cm) in length, and are filled with sweet, tender, and vibrantly colored yellow kernels. The delicious cobs freeze well, and they are borne on tall plants that ripen quickly.
This is the first white, supersweet hybrid to earn an All-America Selections Award. It produces 8-in (20-cm) ears full of crisp, tender kernels. The plants must be isolated from other corn types to prevent cross-pollination, which degrades kernel quality.
This is an early-maturing, supersweet-type ‘F1’ hybrid, producing tender kernels that retain their excellent qualities, even after freezing. Growing to just 5 ft (1.5 m) tall, it is suitable for cooler, exposed gardens. Grow in good, free-draining soil.
This sugar-enhanced bicolor is known for seedling vigor, wilt resistance, and superior flavor. Favored by gardeners in cool climates, ‘Ambrosia’ bears 8-in (20-cm) ears filled with plump white and yellow kernels 75 days after seeds are sown.
An extra-tender type, this variety produces medium-sized heads filled with succulent, sweet, and bright-yellow grains. The robust plants mature especially early, and they reliably bear heavy crops, even in cooler regions and under a wide range of conditions.
This is an unusual, heritage variety that produces distinctive single- or multicolored cobs, made up of red, white, yellow, and purple kernels. It reaches 8 ft (2.4 m) high and needs a long, hot growing season for the best crop. Treat it as a novelty.
This sugar-enhanced variety is early-maturing and carries long, good-quality cobs filled with sweet, yellow, especially tender grains. It has good rust tolerance and is suitable for cooler regions, and where the growing season is short.
This synergistic hybrid combines the sweet, full flavor of supersweet types with the tender succulence of sugar-enhanced corn in its white kernels. Best-suited for regions with hot summers, the tall vigorous plants mature late in the season.
This tall, supersweet type produces sturdy growth, strong foliage, and even, well-filled cobs of good texture and flavor. Despite its name, ‘Earlibird’ matures in the mid-to-late season period. It is especially suitable for cooler regions.
This standard-type variety is well-suited to regions with hot summers. It matures late and has sweet, tender, and white kernels. Cobs remain milky for a prolonged period; the variety is therefore sometimes referred to as ‘Stowell’s Evergreen.’
This tall, midseason, tendersweet variety produces sturdy growth, strong foliage, and medium-sized, well-filled cobs. Kernels are bright yellow and of excellent texture and flavor. Suitable for cooler regions and grows in all good garden soils.
‘Silver Queen Hybrid’ is a standard-type hybrid that produces exceptionally long, heavy ears that mature early and are filled with glistening white kernels. It is especially well-suited to regions with hot summers, having resistance to diseases common in these areas.
