Based on your answers, there are several other ways that can help you pop a foot blister safely. Before you start, you must make sure that the blister is not infected; otherwise you must consult a doctor. Wash your hands with warm water and soap and clean the surface of the blister with alcohol. You can also use iodine or an antiseptic wash. You should disinfect the needle by soaking it in rubbing alcohol for at least 20 seconds. Then you should find the edge of the blister and poke 3 to 4 shallow holes along the edge. Make sure as much skin as possible is left intact.
Based on your answers, you know a lot about how to pop a foot blister safely. When you poke a blister, you should allow the liquid to drain. You can also absorb the liquid that comes out with clean gauze. Then, you need to apply the ointment over the blister (you can use petroleum jelly) and cover it with a bandage or gauze. Since blisters can be refilled quickly, you may need to repeat this process several times during the first 24 hours. Reapply petroleum jelly to the blister every day until it heals. During this procedure, you must keep the blister clean to prevent infection.
