Based on your answers, there are several other ways that can help you get rid of diarrhea. Be sure to stay hydrated because your body loses water every time you go to the toilet. You can sip clear liquids (water, soup, fruit juice) in small amounts between meals. You can also drink sports drinks that contain electrolytes. Instead of eating fatty, fried and very spicy foods, try BRAT diet (banana, rice, apple sauce, toast). Reduce your caffeine intake because it can have a laxative effect and worsen diarrhea. Also, avoid food and beverages that give you gas such as beans, cabbage, beer and carbonated drinks.
Based on your answers, you know a lot about how to get rid of diarrhea. Rice water is an effective remedy for diarrhea. It is prepared by cooking 1 cup of rice with 2 cups of water for about 10 minutes. After cooking you need to strain the rice. Rice water makes the stool in your intestines firmer and bulkier. You can also ta probiotics, which help restore the balance of bacteria in the intestines. They are available in the form of capsules or liquids, and sometimes are added to food (probiotic yogurts). Also, over-the-counter anti-diarrheal medications (loperamide, bismuth subsalicylate) can help reduce the frequency of watery stools.
