Your body needs a lot of nutrients to work efficiently. There are 5 main food groups: carbohydrates, proteins, dairy products, fruits and vegetables, fats and sugars. Try to choose a variety of foods from all five groups that will provide you with a wide range of nutrients. Fruits and vegetables are an excellent source of vitamins, minerals and fiber. You can eat them fresh, frozen, canned and dried. Also, you should try to avoid foods high in fat, salt and sugar.
