Common conclusions
Since they consist of excessive layers of skin cells from both the living and dead skin layers, barnacles are structurally identical to warts. To help soften and loosen these crusty growths, the trick is to physically buff your skin with an exfoliating product and to use good alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) products. An AHA product needs to be solid to lighten age spots. Glycolic acid is the perfect AHA for the job because it's the best AHA for loosening dead skin cells so that they buff off more quickly.
It is OK because if you notice that you have several growths developing over a short period of time like a few weeks to months, you should see a doctor.
Your doctor may prescribe a solution of 40% hydrogen peroxide, which is applied to the skin, if you have increased growth. The treatment has been shown to be successful in the removal of seborrheic keratosis, but may irritate the skin.
A laser, an intense beam of light that burns and kills growth, may be used to remove seborrheic keratosis. When it cuts tissue, laser light cleans (sterilizes) and seals, which decreases bleeding, pain, and healing time. In your doctor's office or clinic, a laser treatment can be performed.
