Based on your answers it is unlikely that you have a blue nevus. Moles, also known as nevi, are benign growths on the skin that consist of a group of melanocytes (cells that make a substance called melanin that gives color to your skin). A blue nevus is a type of mole that has a blue color, after which it was named. The blue color is caused by the so-called Tyndall effect - scattering of light on melanocytes in the deeper layers of the skin. It usually presents as a solitary blue mole that may be present at birth or develop later in life.
Based on your answers there is a possibility that you have a blue nevus. A blue nevus is a type of mole of characteristic blue color. Blue nevi are usually small, round in shape with a smooth surface. They can be found on any part of the body, but they most often appear on your head and neck, sacral area, on the feet and the back of the hands. Blue moles are usually benign and not a cause for concern. If a blue mole appears later in life or you have noticed changes in a previous mole, you should consult a doctor.
