Common conclusions

Based on your answers it is unlikely that you have low testosterone. The hormone testosterone is known as a male sex hormone. It is produced in the testicles and it is vital for normal sexual and reproductive development and function in men. It is perfectly normal for testosterone levels to decrease with age. This decline in testosterone levels starts after the age of 30. It is estimated that about 40 percent of men over the age of 45 have low testosterone levels. Then again, the hormone levels vary through the day; they are affected by nutrition, body mass index, alcohol consumption and overall health.

Based on your answers there is a possibility that you have low testosterone. Testosterone is the male sex hormone that plays an important role in the development of male features such as a deeper voice, muscle strength and facial hair. Also, men need this hormone to produce sperm. According to the American Urology Association, low testosterone (Low-T) is defined as a blood testosterone level lesser than 300 nanograms per deciliter on two consecutive tests done in the morning. The ability to produce testosterone decreases in men with age. The level of this hormone drops by about 1 to 3 percent per year, starting at the age of 40.

Based on your answers there is a high possibility that you have low testosterone (Low-T). It is estimated that about 2 men in every 100 have low testosterone. Low testosterone level in men is a natural part of aging, but it can be also linked to other health conditions such as diabetes, obesity, autoimmune diseases, infections, pituitary diseases or testicular injuries. Low-T is treated with testosterone replacement therapy, but this type of treatment should not be used to treat an age-related decline in testosterone. Testosterone may be given as intramuscular injections, testosterone patches, testosterone gels, and pellets that are implanted under your skin.
