Common conclusions

Based on your answers it is unlikely that you have an estrogen deficiency. The hormone estrogen is produced by the ovaries in women. It is considered as a “female hormone”, although men have it in small amounts too. This hormone has many roles in your body. It is necessary for sexual development during puberty, causes breast changes in teenagers and women during pregnancy and controls the growth of the uterine lining. Estrogen is involved in bone, cholesterol and glucose metabolism, and even body weight. Ovarian health is associated with estrogen production. Estrogen production decreases with age, and at menopause it stops completely.

Based on your answers there is a possibility that you have an estrogen deficiency. Estrogen is a hormone produced within the ovaries in women. It is perfectly normal for estrogen production to vary during a woman’s life. However, there are certain health conditions that can impair estrogen production, such as ovarian cysts and ovarian failure, kidney disease, or pituitary gland dysfunction. Women who have an eating disorder (such as anorexia) or exercise vigorously may also have low estrogen levels. In women over the age of 40, low estrogen levels can be a sign of oncoming menopause. Diagnosing is based on physical examination and blood tests.

Based on your answers there is a high possibility that you have an estrogen deficiency. The estrogen is a female sex hormone, responsible for the proper development of women’s reproductive system and secondary sex characteristics. Estrogen deficiency means that you have lower than normal estrogen levels. Women with this condition are at higher risk of cardiovascular diseases, urinary tract infections and osteoporosis. Estrogen deficient women between the ages of 25 to 50 are usually treated with high doses of estrogen. Estrogen can be given orally, vaginally, topically or by injection. The dose will depend on the severity of your condition. Sometimes, long-term estrogen treatment is needed.
