Based on your answers it is unlikely that you have glomerulonephtitis. Glomerulonephritis is a medical condition that refers to an inflammation of specific parts of your kidney called glomeruli. Glomeruli have an important role in your body. They filter your blood by removing waste and excess fluid. In glomerulonephritis, the glomeruli become inflamed and scarred leading to improper functioning of your kidney. Many conditions can lead to damage of the glomeruli, but sometimes the exact cause is not known. It is estimated that every fifth person with this condition has never had kidney disease before. Glomerulonephritis (GN) is also called nephritis.
Based on your answers there is a possibility that you have glomerulonephtitis. Glomerulonephritis is a kidney disease in which the kidney filters (glomeruli) become inflamed and cannot properly remove waste and fluid from your blood. There are two types of glomerulonephritis: acute and chronic. Acute glomerulonephritis occurs suddenly and it may be associated with a recent throat or skin infection. The chronic form develops slowly over several years. This type of glomerulonephritis usually runs in the family. Some people may have an acute form of the disease only once, and years later they may develop chronic glomerulonephritis. Diagnosis is based on urine and blood tests and kidney biopsy.
Based on your answers there is a high possibility that you have glomerulonephtitis. Glomerulonephritis is a kidney disease characterized by an inflammation of glomeruli (the parts of your kidneys that filter your blood). It can be the result of various diseases, such as infections, autoimmune conditions and genetic disorders. If left untreated, glomerulonephritis can cause serious complications, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, high blood pressure and kidney failure. Treatment depends on the underlying cause, the type and the severity of the disease, your age and overall health. The therapy’s goal is to protect your kidneys from additional damage.

Hi! I’m Jelena Radovanovic. After earning my Phd in General Medicine from the Medical University of Nis, I began a career as a physician in order to pursue my passion for medical science and help treat the people around me. I joined the Medical Center in Nis in 2010 where I gained practical knowledge in real-time situations. In addition to my primary job as a General Practitioner, I’ve worked with nonprofits to help underprivileged patients by providing them with information, services, and assistance.
