Common conclusions

Plug the switch in the socket properly and make sure that the cable is connected properly on the printer's end.

Most printers have safety switches on the back side of the body which need to be turned ON for the printer to get power.

As all normal electronics, a printer has a simple power up switch on the front panel which needs to be pressed to start the printer up.

The power outage may have damaged either the socket or the printer or the issue may simply be a tripped switch. First check if there is a tripped switch, if not connect the cable to another socket or take the printer to a technician.

A damaged wire may be the cause for the printer to not power up as it may have created an open circuit. If broken, replace the wire with a standard new one for printers.

A printer has a paper tray where a certain number of papers can be set. If the papers have been used up, the printer will show this error. Simply put a new stack of papers in the tray and try again.

As most printers have a finite amount of ink in the cartridges, there is a certain amount of papers that can be printed after which the cartridge needs to be replaced or refilled.

This might be due to an improperly placed cartridge in the printer, an opened latch or a stuck paper. For the stuck paper, open the rear latch and if you see the paper, apply little force and pull it out.

The issue may be with your device that it does not have the software installed. Install the software manually or when the prompt for a new device is shown, select the option to install the software automatically. If the printer is connected using a WiFi, make sure that the router is within the range of the printer.

There can be many small issues that will make the printer stop working but most can be fixed easily. If not, contact the manufacturers helpline using the online services or a local landline.
