Dragon wings placed in a sunny spot with lots of sunlight all-year-round will give more flowers. If you move your plant outdoors for the summer, keep it shaded from hot, direct midday sun as it can scorch the begonias.
You can use an African violet potting mix for your plants or you can use an all-purpose potting soil. The soil should be loose and well-drained, and high organic matter content is beneficial.
Average room temperatures (65-75°F) and humidity (50-60% relative humidity) are ideal for these begonias. When placed outside, it can tolerate temperatures as high as 100°F but you'll need to keep it partially shaded from the midday sun in that temperature.
Dragon wing begonia prefers moist soil, so water the soil adequately and regularly enough to keep the soil moist. Make sure to not overwater. The rule of thumb for watering dragon begonias is to let the top 2? – 3” inches of soil get dry between waterings.
You should feed dragon wings every 2 weeks in spring and summer with balanced water-soluble fertilizer diluted by half. In fall and winter, feed monthly. Take care to fertilize when the soil is already moist to avoid fertilizer burn.

Dragon wing begonias are prone to mealybugs, and whitefly pest infestations. It can sometimes get affected by chewing insects, root rot (overwatering), and powdery mildew, but they hardly ever go beyond control. Avoid overwatering or planting in poorly draining soil as wet soils can lead to root rot.
