Common conclusions

Think about it to get a lot of clarity on how you should react to others' thoughts and opinions. Over many centuries, our society has evolved in such a way that we are subconsciously forced to follow social norms and are ridiculed when we don't follow it. This puts unwanted pressure on us to act in a certain way. If this is your problem, it's time to start living your life without worrying about social norms.

When you start living in the present, you tend to stop worrying about what others tell you or even about what may happen in the future. You tend to focus this moment and will channel all your energy into doing the task on hand. This is a great way to remove all the negative feelings from your mind.

When you love yourself, you care little about what others say because regardless of what others may think, you get to move on with your life. Also, it can boost your self-confidence in more ways than you'd imagine because when you understand yourself better, you're more likely to do the things that matter the most to you.

Humans are social creatures which mean we need to be a part of a group for emotional and mental support. But if you pick the wrong group or tend to surround yourself with negative people, the group itself becomes a sore point. Make sure your support includes people who care the most for you in this world. Even if there are only two people in your support group, it's more than enough if they are understanding and way better than having a group of 100 people who mean nothing to you.

Life is too short to worry about those people who criticize you. On a philosophical note, you have no idea if you'll live tomorrow, so what's the point in worrying about people. When you realize that life is really short, you'll be more inclined to spend it with the people you care about and doing the things that you absolutely love.

Then why bother! Pick a handful of people whom you know will accept you for what you are and confide your innermost feelings only to them. DOn't care about the rest of the world.

Unfortunately, this will only lead to disappointment as you'll never be able to please anyone simply because they don't want to get pleased. When their objective is to find fault with you, put you down, judge you, and make sure you're never happy, why bother to please them. It will be an impossible task and a huge drain of time and effort.
