Common conclusions

Plug the cable properly and make sure the socket is working and in case of a damaged cable, replace it with a new one.

Most projects have a fail-safe program which forcefully shuts down the projector if the temperatures rise above a certain value. Cool it down a little bit by not powering it up and try again.

Change the battery and check the remote for any liquid, if present dry.

The problem may be with the power supply of the projector as they have a life. Get it checked at a local electronics store and get it replaced/fixed or contact the original manufacturer if you have the warranty.

Clean the dust from it's vents and remove any object that is placed on top of it or close to it.

Check if the lens cap has been removed properly. Also check if the VGA/HDMI cable has been properly connected to the computer then try again.

Configure the color settings from the connected computer or the internal settings of the projector. As for the distortion, check the display cable as well as the focus of the projector and refocus it according to the position of the projector and the surface on which the image is being shown.

This might be due to a broken display cable or a faulty lamp inside the projector. Get it checked at an electronics store and take appropriate action to resolve the issue.

For any further problem contact the original manufacturer or a local electronics store.
