Those insects are Potato leafhoppers. These small, yellow-green insects feed by sucking juices from leaves undersides. Leafhoppers may carry viruses so controlling them is imperative. Spray the insecticidal soap or pyrethrin in the evening. Be sure to spray the undersides of leaves where nymphs congregate.

Your beans might have suffered a salt injury as they are very sensitive to sodium. Plant your beans in raised beds with lots of compost and water your plants thoroughly.

Yellow leaves with curling margins is caused by calcium deficiency. Other symptoms are stunted look and black tips on the shoots. Test your soil and if the test shows calcium deficiency amend it with gypsum or calcitic lime.

Distorted and yellow leaves are caused by Tarnished plant bugs. These 1/4 of inch-long insects have yellow, black and red mottling on the wings. Control them by handpicking if the infestation isn't severe or use pyrethrin spray in the evening.

Stunted growth and yellow leaves are most often caused by nitrogen deficiency. Spray foliage and drench roots with fish emulsion to alleviate symptoms. Prevent problems by adding compost to the soil and providing good drainage.

yellow and withered leaves are most often caused by Bean aphids. These tiny, black insects cluster under leaves and on growing tips where they feed on plant sap. Control them by washing them off the plant with water spray.

white growths on leaves are caused by fungal infections - Downy mildew, powdery mildew or white mold. To control fungal diseases, thin plants to increase air movement. If the weather is wet spray sulfur in the evening.

Water-soaked spots on bean leaves are caused by bacterial blight. The copper spray will help in reducing the spread of the disease. If there are no new pods on the plant, you should remove the diseased plants.

These symptoms often indicate viral disease - Bean mosaic. Remove and destroy infected plants. Control aphids as they are the most likely carriers od bean mosaic virus.

These symptoms often indicate a curly top virus infection. Remove and destroy infected plants. Control aphids as they are the most likely carriers od curly top virus.

These symptoms often indicate a fungal disease - Antrachnose. You can control it with sulfur spray. Prevent problems by planting resistant cultivars like "Espada" or "Marbel".

These symptoms often indicate a fungal disease - Rust. You can control it with sulfur spray. Prevent problems by planting resistant cultivars like "Sungold" or "Kentucky Wonder".

These symptoms often indicate insects - Leafminers. Small maggotlike larvae tunnel through the leaves and feed on them, adults are black-and-yellow insects. Remove and destroy mined leaves. Apply row cover as soon as plants emerge to prevent problems. Use yellow sticky traps to catch adults.

Leaves riddled with tiny holes usually indicate flea beetles. These beetles are small, shiny and black. Treat plants with pyrethrin spray if the damage is severe. Prevent problems by covering young plants with row cover.

Large holes on leaves are caused by bean leaf beetles, cucumber beetles or by various caterpillars. You can prevent problems by covering plants with row cover. In case of beetles use neem oil or pyrethrin spray and in case of caterpillars use BTK spray.

Skeletonized leaves are most likely attacked by Mexican bean beetle. You can control these yellowish brown beetles by introducing a tiny parasitic wasp, Pediobius foveolatus.
