Does your battery look swollen? Or does it start to smell like rotten eggs?
Common conclusions
This is the most common culprit of drained car batteries. If you went home extremely tired last night, you might have forgotten to turn off your lights before you went inside your home. There is nothing much that you can do at this point other than take out the battery and have it recharged at the garage.
There might be a problem with your car's alternator; this is the part of your engine that charges the battery while the engine is running. Worst case scenario would be that you need to replace it entirely, or if you are lucky, your local garage has a genius electrician who can fix your alternator.
Three years is the average life of a car battery, regardless of how much you took care of it. When a car battery reaches three years, the internal components will start to decay, and it is time to replace your car battery.
There's something wrong with your battery's internals. If it is still under warranty, have it replaced as soon as you can.
